Alexis Garuz
Attorney Alexis Garuz is the founder and lead attorney of Garuz Legal Group. She was born and raised in Waukesha and is a graduate of Marquette University Law School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has practiced criminal defense for her entire career, handling matters from traffic tickets to sexual assault. She has successfully obtained dismissals and not guilty verdicts in a variety of cases. She also regularly represents clients before criminal charges are issued. Attorney Garuz believes in making justice accessible. She is active on TikTok and Instagram (@attyalexis) where she creates educational content aimed at demystifying criminal law concepts. Prior to founding the firm, she was an associate attorney at a boutique criminal defense firm in the greater Milwaukee area. She has been recognized as a Rising Star by SuperLawyers in both 2022 and 2023, and she has presented at continuing legal education events across Wisconsin. She is also bilingual in Spanish.
When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephew, cooking, and spending time up north.
